Director of Facilities & Operations - Reopened

Job Description

MVCC seeks a highly motivated and team-oriented qualified applicant for the position of Director of Facilities and Operations. The Director is responsible for the operation and maintenance of College facilities and support services including the implementation of capital projects, environmental health and safety, college-wide inventory control, mail and duplicating services and telephone services. This position directs and supervises maintenance, grounds and janitorial staff and programs. Other duties include maintaining an ADA compliant campus, preparing overall departmental plan and operating budget, assessing utilization of space and development and alignment of departmental strategic plan. The incumbent will work closely with a culturally diverse faculty and staff in a multicultural learning work environment. This position is based on the Utica campus, but the incumbent is required to travel to our Rome campus and to respond to emergency situations, as necessary. Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management or related field required. Masters degree preferred. Must have a minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in field, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and a valid NYS drivers license. Experience in a community college or higher education environment preferred. Starting salary in the $60s. Academic transcripts from an accredited institution are required at time of hire. Cybersecurity Training Director - Grant-Funded

Job Description

The following Cybersecurity position is associated with the Cybersecurity Pathways Training Project, a grant awarded to MVCC by the U.S. Department of Labor. Over the next three years we will work with numerous partners to train more than 2,000 individuals for jobs in information technology and cybersecurity. Industries served will include healthcare, finance, insurance, technology and others. The Cybersecurity Training Director  Grant-Funded Directs initiatives of the Central Upstate New York Cybersecurity Workforce Training Project. Serves as liaison with a broad array of businesses and educational partners to advance the goals of a Cybersecurity Training Center and a Cybersecurity Skills Development Council to meet existing and emerging needs in the area of Cybersecurity. Leads strategic planning for the project and department; manages recruitment among partners and employers; supervises project staff; analyzes, manages and develops plans to maintain program updates, and serves as public representative of the project to local media and business groups. Salary low $50s. Bachelors degree in Information Technology with three (3) or more years progressive experience in information technology, cybersecurity or related field, experience with fiscal and programmatic compliance with federal regulations, grant projects, and evaluation required. Bachelors degree, demonstrated experience with implementation of workplace training in the field of information technology, cybersecurity or related field required. Job Description

Directs and oversees the overall recruitment and admissions program of the College. The Director develops, executes and assesses office policies, procedures, data processing and imaging and is responsible for the development and management of budgets for the Admissions and International Student Services Offices. Collaborates with other departments to provide the College with studies, reports and analyses of admissions related data. Bachelors degree plus five (5) years of experience in Admissions with knowledge, competence and operational experience in community college admissions and/or enrollment management required. Masters degree in educational administration, communications, business, marketing or related field, supervisory experience and/or training and demonstrated knowledge of the open admissions process preferred. Primary responsibility is to perform credit evaluations on incoming transfer transcripts to ensure appropriate transferability and consistency. Successful candidate will also guide MVCC students in the 4-year College transfer process including assistance with existing transfer agreements and creation of new opportunities. Masters degree in an academic discipline, counseling, student personnel or higher education administration required.
